We provide regular monthly sessions on a variety of mandatory care competencies aligned to the requirements of the Care Certificate. Employers can reserve individual places on these to help with staffing capacity and recruitment requirements.
Our trainers have extensive hands-on experience and a commitment to continuous professional development. They are pleased to work collaboratively with services to develop specific training tailored to clients’ needs at a suitable time and place.
Our highly qualified consultants are ready to work with managers and entire service teams to develop quality of provision and care specialisms within their workforce. We have successful experience of working alongside Registered Managers to improve their CQC quality ratings.
We promote an experiential approach to learning. All courses are interactive and incorporate a mixture of theoretical and practical activities contextualised to the learners’ own work environment. Learners are encouraged to reflect on real work situations to contextualise their learning.
Some courses are now available via ZOOM. We have the capability to create custom training videos in-house when required.
We operate from our own training suite at Beacontree Court, Reading which is fully serviced and enhanced with 24 hour security.
Our suite is fully equipped with an extensive range of large and small moving and positioning equipment which is serviced in accordance with statutory regulations and is representational of that prescribed by local Occupational Therapy Teams with whom we work collaboratively.
The training environment can be set up to any arrangement, facilitating small intimate learning or team group sessions. We keep our class sizes small to afford greater opportunity for learner participation within practical activities.
We have gone to great lengths to ensure our environment is Covid Safe and operate to a robust risk assessment. Standard precautions for infection control are rigorously enforced prior to and throughout training sessions. To comply with the current 1 metre + social distancing requirements there will be a maximum of 8 learners per course.
Currently, we are only able to facilitate face-to-face training which is linked to the core care competences. (March 2021)
